8 more Fairmiles were built in Weymouth. These ships were ordered by the Royal Navy but were destined to become U.S. navy ships through a lend lease agreement. Once the ships were built, they were taken to Boston MA. for delivery. Leblanc was the only Canadian shipyard to do this.
